Payroll & HRIS Technology Manager
Kim Wells serves as Payroll & HRIS Technology Manager at OperationsInc, and brings over 20+ years of payroll experience to the OI Team. Prior to joining OperationsInc, Kim was a Payroll Manager & Process Optimization Consultant for a staffing and recruiting firm where she processed semi-monthly US payroll as well as Stock Exercise Payrolls. She also processed monthly payrolls in Germany, Ireland and Portugal for tech-start up in the San Francisco area. Kim led efforts to identify and mitigate non-compliance according to IRS Publication 15 and 15b, performed workers comp audits and reconciled monthly cash accounts to ensure payment of payroll liabilities. Kim was also a Program Manager/Consultant for a Professional Services firm that delivers comprehensive business solutions where she lead a team of 10 and provided post-acquisition conversion support including mid-year/mid-quarter payroll balances, deduction goal balances for remainder of the year, time and attendance configuration, vacation balances and accrual configuration for approximately 850 employees. Kim’s areas of expertise are payroll and employment tax with experience in HCM project management, relationship management, change management, operational excellence, and mastery of process improvement and implementation. Kim currently lives in IA and is a member of the American Payroll Association as well as a APA Hotline volunteer.
Kim earned an A.S. in Accounting from Marshalltown Community College and she is CQI certified. Kim is currently working on her PMP certification.
