Addressing Turnover

As the economy comes back to life, turnover is going to once again start to happen — turnover as a result of employees voluntarily leaving to take jobs elsewhere. While this is a time of frustration given the loss of someone you value, it is also an opportunity to learn a great deal about your operation. Specifically you want to exit interview all departing employees, ideally via a third party, in an effort to learn the most possible about the factors driving people to leave. You then want to determine what steps you can and want to take to address the areas identified.
