“Blacklisting” Order Revoked by President Trump

President Trump has rescinded Executive Order 13673, otherwise known as the “Blacklisting” Rule. The move revokes the requirement that high-bidding federal contractors disclose information for 14 federal laws “when bidding on a new or renewed contract worth at least $500,000”. While the “paycheck transparency” section of the original order has been removed, federal contractors “remain subject to the ‘pay transparency’ amendments”, which protect employees’ rights to discuss wages. Further actions on federal agency regulations are expected in the coming months, including changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
