CT Mandatory Retirement Savings Program Coming in 2018

Retirement PlanEffective in 2018, a new act will require Connecticut private-sector employers who do not offer their employees a retirement savings plan to automatically enroll employees into a newly established state run retirement savings program. This new legislation will impact “qualified employers”, which is defined by The Connecticut Retirement Security Authority as “any employer in the private sector with at least five employees who have earned a minimum of $5,000 in the previous calendar year.”
