Wooden Judge Gavel And Car Keys Over Sound Box - View From TopEffective October 1, 2015, a new statute, Public Act 15-86, will require Connecticut courts to award double damages if an employer is found guilty of failure to pay wages (including minimum wage and overtime owed), accrued benefits, or arbitration awards. The “Act Concerning an Employer’s Failure to Pay Wages” also requires courts to award court costs and attorney fees for employee wage claims.
