It’s one thing to do a lousy job interviewing candidates, which results in not selecting the best candidate to suits your needs. What could prove to be even worse is when you ask the wrong questions that are considered illegal. It is therefore imperative that you provide all your Hiring Managers with some form of training that insures they know how to ask the right questions, what they can and can’t ask, and how to secure the information you want to know about the candidates without crossing the line. Issues like age, race and even child care arrangements need to be handled tactfully and carefully.
