Morristown NJ: Required Paid Sick Leave Notice
Effective January 11, 2017, employers in Morristown, NJ, as well as employers with employees who work at least 80 hours a year in Morristown, must provide the recently released “Notice of Employee Rights to Paid Sick Time” to all current employees and to new hires going forward. The notice must be posted in an area where it can easily be read by employees. In order to clarify various aspects of the ordinance, the Town of Morristown has provided an FAQ sheet, which includes information on how the ordinance applies to businesses located outside of the town that have employees working within the town, as well as information on how much time must be provided and other specifics.
