Nestle Waters Settles EEOC Sex Bias Complaint for $300k

Law GavelBottled water giant Nestle has agreed to pay $300,000 over a sexual discrimination complaint brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Legal News Line reports that the complaint was filed after “Nestle failed to select…a 20-year finance and budgeting manager for a newly created Florida Zone business manager position because of her gender”. The employee was then terminated due to consolidation, but was then found to be the only individual terminated.
