Newly Revised I-9 Form Required Use by September 18th
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has released a revised version of Form I-9, which all employers will be required to use as of September 18, 2017. This is an update to the new form released earlier this year, and will be mandatory “for all new hires and for re-verifying current employees with expiring employment authorization documentation”. As a reminder, “all U.S. employers are required to complete a Form I-9 for every employee hired in order to verify that the individual is authorized for employment in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)”.
