Value of Candidate Personality & Skills Outweigh Experience, Hiring Managers Say

A recent Inc. article outlined the shift hiring managers and talent specialists have made from evaluating a candidate’s prior role experience to instead evaluating core skills and personality traits. Inc. says the three most important skills and characteristics all new hires should have include exceptional communication and problem solving skills, as well as fundamental leadership qualities, including the ability to “take ownership of issues” and to “understand personal limitations”.
