Should You Have an Employment Application?

While no law exists per se’ that mandates the use of the Employment Application, we strongly advise our clients that they use one. A good application is one that has been published or updated in the last three years, to account for changes in the laws, and contains a comprehensive release. Employment Applications when fully completed (“See Resume” is NOT acceptable) and signed, offer the company with a powerful tool in the event a new hire turns out to have been dishonest about their work or educational history, providing the company with the enhanced ability to terminate for fraud under many circumstances.
