Key Survey Results: Talent Acquisition

The OperationsInc Flash Survey “Talent Acquisition” reviews the obstacles participating companies face to hiring talent, the importance of certain qualifications, and hiring plans for the remainder of 2017.


Key Findings:

  • 71% of respondents cited a lack of qualified candidates
  • Competition (44%) and inability to meet candidate salary expectations (42%) were the next most popular responses
  • Some of the additional comments included concerns about candidates who say they’ll take a pay cut and lack of interest in the company’s industry


Key Findings:

  • 100% of respondents indicated that Cultural Fit was at least Moderately Important with close to 75% saying that it was Very Important
  • Over 88% of respondents indicated that Education was at least Moderately Important


Key Finding:

  • A little over half (53%) of respondents are planning to fill between 1 and 10 positions
  • 21% of respondents are planning to fill 25 or more positions
  • 4% of respondents are not planning on filling any positions
  • 7.55% of those who responded indicate they are unsure at this time how many positions they plan to fill this year


Key Finding:

  • 83% of respondents plan to use their Employee Referral Program
  • 77% of respondents will be using LinkedIn, and 74% plan to use Job Boards
  • Other sources mentioned include career fairs and social media


Key Finding:

  • 18.86% of respondents have 50 or fewer employees
  • 24.53% of respondents have 51 to 100 employees
  • 35.85% of respondents have 101 to 500 employees
  • 20.75% of respondents have more than 500 employees
