Downside in Giving Special Offers to Employees

A firm I used to work for offered employees discounts on trips, movie theatres, etc. Are there any downsides to offering these?

There is no downside associated with offering your employees these types of discount opportunities. You should always look for ways to add value to the employment experience with your firm. Providing employees with discounts on leisure activities has a surprisingly positive effect on your ability to retain. You can reach out to local theatres, sports venues, destination resorts, etc. and find an abundance of these types of coupons on offers. A little effort in this area can go a long way.
